After teaching Year One Cobham was a big change. I learnt a lot on this practice and was able to take a Science unit on a stream study which fitted in well with our camp to Kaituna. While studying metamorphosis students decided to bring in Monarch Caterpillars. These became a real interest to the students. Naming and daily status updates become very important in the class.
Students got to design their own insects that used camouflage to hide in their surroundings.
